THE UN-CORKER

The bottling industry is full of machines that put the cork in bottles, but when one Mendocino County winemaker needed a machine to do the opposite, they asked S&H to design one that could remove the cork without disturbing the contents or leaving a mark on the bottle.

PNEUMATIC CLAMPING MECHANISM

As part of the “Un-Corker”, this pneumatic clamping mechanism combined gentleness and strength to remove the corks from wine bottles.

MECHANICAL PICTURE MACHINE

This is the interior of a mechanical picture machine similar to those used at the turn of the century. It was developed for the Exploratorium to teach about 1915 San Francisco world fair.

FOG CHAMBER PRESSURE VESSEL
